Kareem El Damanhoury
GSU Presidential Fellow- Biography
Kareem El Damanhoury is a Presidential fellow at the Transcultural Conflict and Violence Initiative and a doctoral student at the Communication Department, Georgia State University. After getting his BA in Communication from Cairo University, Kareem has worked as a broadcast journalist in Egypt, Ohio, and Georgia. He also holds an MA in Communication and Development from Ohio University. Focusing on political communication and the visual framing and propaganda of militant organizations, Kareem has been published in the Journal of Broadcasting and Electronic Media, Journal of Terrorism and Political Violence, and the Center for Global Communication Studies’s Media Wire.
